WHAT IS ROBOTICS?

 

Robotics is the branch of technology that is dedicated to the design, construction, operation, structural disposition, manufacture and application of robots.

 

Robotics combines different disciplines such as: mechanics, electronics, informatics, artificial intelligence, control engineering and physics.

 

WHAT IS A ROBOT AND HOW IT WORKS?

 

A robot is a mechatronic device, so it's a mix of mechanical, electronic and programming technologies, designed to do one or more tasks without human help.

 

Using sensors robots can interact with the external environment. When these sensors receive an external stimulus will send a signal to the actuators which will carry out the action which had previously been programmed for that particular condition or signal.

 

HOW TO CONFIGURE A ROBOT?

 

We can give orders using different programming languages. Mainly, to configure robots Java and C languages ​​are usually used.

 

WHAT KIND OF ROBOTS ARE THERE?

 

-Androids: These devices look and act as if they were humans.

 

-Movable robots: These robots have wheels or legs that allow them to move according to the programming to which they were subjected.

 

-Industrial: Robots of this type may be electronic or mechanical and are used for performing the automatic handling processes or manufacture.

 

-Zoomorphic: Locomotion of these robots imitates different animals and they can be divided into walkers and non-walkers.
